A family workshop. A national habit.

Lakis Braais started in 1994 in a single-bay workshop in Spartan, Gauteng. One welding machine, one stubborn opinion: a braai should outlive the man who built it.

Three decades later, we're still the same family, in the same workshop — just with a few more bays and a lot more orders. Every skewer braai, spit roaster and catering grill that leaves our floor is cut, bent, welded and finished by the people whose name is on the door.

We supply backyards, caterers, restaurants, lodges and event hire companies from Cape Town to Polokwane. Our designs are tested in our own back yard before they go into yours — and we'll happily talk through a custom build for any venue, function or production line.
